Sober Women's Retreat

.

Hi, I’m Jane Ballard, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor and Perinatal Mental Health Certified Clinician practicing at Sparrow House Counseling in Dallas, TX. Since earning my MSSW in 2004 from the University of Texas at Austin, I’ve spent thousands of hours walking alongside high performing, insightful women committed to personal growth and values guided living.

In addition to my in-person therapy practice, I am passionate about supporting women who believe life might be better without alcohol but aren’t sure where to turn for support. After realizing that I would would never reach my full potential in life with alcohol along for the ride, I embraced sobriety and haven’t looked back.

I created this online space with the hope of reaching more women who need a soft place to land but don’t necessarily identify with the term alcoholic or meet criteria for alcohol use disorder. Alcoholics Anonymous has provided tremendous support and healing to the recovery community for 88 years and provided many with a framework for living without substances. However, in a culture that celebrates alcohol and overlooks the consequences, we lack support and community for those of us who don’t feel powerless and haven’t “hit rock bottom.”

This space is open to all, whether you have been sober for years or you’re just curious about the sober curious movement. Please feel free to reach out for a complementary 15 minute consultation for more information about creating a life filled with joy, freedom and authentic connections with the people you love.
