Amanda Campbell, LMSW, is a Licensed Master Social Worker licensed in the states of Texas and New York. Drawing from her own lived experiences and a deep desire to work alongside others in meaningful ways, Amanda brings empathy, insight, and authentic presence to her work as a therapist.

Originally from Louisiana, Amanda began her career path in law at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. After completing her Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies, she spent a decade working as a legal professional. Her legal career culminated in her acceptance into law school–an achievement followed by an unexpected life change that inspired a shift in direction. Ultimately, her personal journey through grief led her to defer law school in favor of a more meaningful path in social work.

Amanda earned her Master of Social Work degree from The University of Alabama and went on to gain diverse clinical experience across educational and adoption settings. This included supporting elementary through high school students in the public school system in metro Atlanta, where she provided counseling services within schools, participated in the Signs of Suicide prevention program, and worked closely with families navigating housing instability under the McKinney-Vento Homelessness Assistance Act. She also served at Bethany Christian Services, where she supported birth parents and adoptive families in navigating the emotional and logistical complexities of the pre- and post-adoption process.

Now based in North Texas, Amanda works with adolescents and adults creating a warm, supportive environment for clients experiencing anxiety, depression, complex grief and loss, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, adoption-related stressors, medical trauma, and survivorship. Her approach is rooted in a person-centered, humanistic philosophy that emphasizes each client’s strengths and inner resilience.

Amanda integrates a variety of evidence-based treatments tailored to each individual’s needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and strengths-based approaches.

Amanda resides in the Dallas Fort Worth area with her husband and their adorable 16 year old cat. She has a love for yoga, Pilates and movement that supports holistic well-being. Whether individuals are facing a life transition, healing from loss, or working through long-term emotional distress, Amanda is honored to hold space for healing, growth, and connection.
